As a writer/director, I lean more dramatic for films and comedic for series, but my stories gravitate towards themes of loss, acceptance, and belonging with nuanced perspectives on family dynamics and self actualization. Part of improving my craft as a creative is learning about different aspects of production, and I enjoy the organized chaos of it all. That’s why I’ve found myself camera assisting, and coordinating on various shoots - indie, doc, kids TV. When I’m not working or manically writing at 2am, I try to uplift QTBIPOC voices in film and TV. I’m 1/4 of Videatur Collective. We provide workshops and programming for QTBIPOC youth in Toronto to get involved in filmmaking. Over the past 3 years, we’ve supported 9 first time and emerging filmmakers in creating their own short films!
